Have you been cited for an underage alcohol offense in Ontario? If so, our MIP courses are a powerful resource. Here is some important information about Ontario MIP Laws:
According to the Liquor License Act of Ontario:
(8) No person under nineteen years of age shall have, consume, attempt to purchase, purchase or otherwise obtain liquor. R.S.O. 1990, c. L.19, s. 30 (8).
If a purveyor of liquor has reasonable grounds to believe someone is buying for a minor, the Liquor License Act gives them the right to refuse the sale.
The Liquor License Act of Ontario states that “an individual is liable to a fine of not more than $200,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than one year or both” (1997, c. 10, s. 24; 1998, c. 24, s. 14 (2))
