The Kennedy family is one of the most famous of the past 200 years.  While only one member has been President of the United States, many have been involved in congress, run states and had influence over all spectrums of society.

The family which has been in the limelight for such tragic events as the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the murder of residential-hopeful Robert Kennedy and the death in a plane crash of John F. Kennedy Jr., just received another taint with the DUI arrest of Kerry Kennedy. This as reported in people.com.

Kerry Kennedy, the daughter of former U.S. attorney general Robert F. Kennedy and ex-wife of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was charged with driving under the influence after an incident on a Westchester Country highway Friday morning, according to reports.

It appears that the 52-year-old Kennedy was impaired by prescription drugs when she hit a big rig with her Lexus SUV.  She compounded the problem by fleeing the scene.

Kennedy was charged with misdemeanor driving while ability impaired and issued traffic tickets.

The prescription medication turns out to have been an Ambien sleeping pill.

Kennedy voluntarily took Breathalyzer, blood and urine tests – all of which showed no drugs or alcohol whatsoever in her system.  Still I think Kennedy could benefit from taking a drug class in an effort to educate her on the medications she takes.
